The butterfly effect comes from chaos theory. Simply put, it is the notion that a butterfly flapping its wings can influence a tornado on the other side of the world.

The idea is that the tiniest change causes effects that ripple out and lead to big effects. This theory is a guiding light for the way we deliver therapy.

When people can understand they need to make microscopic changes they will soon see sustainable real results of change in their mood, happiness, and relationships.

A tiny shift in perspective, a new habit in your day, a thought of gratitude, a new belief, whatever that means for you no change is too small. But some changes can be too big so keep it tiny and you’ll see those ripples from the Butterfly Effect!

The Therapy

We truly believe that problems have to be solved from where we are standing at this moment in time. The present moment is the only moment we have. We are often consumed with depression if we live in the past and overly anxious if we live in the future.

Whether your difficulty is daily stress, anxiety or depression, we believe learning how to be here in the present moment is the key to working on these struggles. Mindfulness is a skill that can be extremely helpful as the foundation for treating various problems.

We do not believe we can change our thoughts by controlling them, whether that is holding onto the "good ones" or getting rid of the "bad ones". We believe if we relate to our thoughts and feelings differently then change can occur in a much more effective way. Once people understand how their anxiety or depression shows up in their life, within their mind and body then real change can and will happen naturally.

"It is a true privilege to have people share their lives with me, from the most painful moments to the most beautiful ones. It's an honor that I try to uphold by helping people overcome their challenges... to get to those moments of happiness more often."
